No visit to the Washington DC area would be complete without a stroll through the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery. The day we were there was crisp, blue and beautiful. It is an extraordinary place to visit, especially in the full bloom of spring.
The rows and rows of headstones at Arlington remind of the many special men and women who
have served our country, and in some cases, died for our country.

and the eternal flame which burns there.
Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis is buried alongside her first husband.
Robert F. Kennedy is also buried nearby.
